Who We Are
ArtCycle’s mission is to keep as many art materials out of the landfill as possible, while providing free and low cost access to materials and opportunities for creative expression both to artists and community members. In order to do that, we like to think about our goals in terms of three core principals: Creativity, Community, and Crayons.
Please note that we are currently using Public Domain (NOT AI) images on our site. We look forward to replacing these with our actual work as we grow.

Creativity
We at ArtCycle believe that to seek out and create art is a fundamental part of being human. Creativity exists in everyone and we’d like to make the act of creation as accessible as possible for as much of the community as possible. Everything we do shares the central goal of providing an opportunity to create, collaborate on, or appreciate art.
Community
With access to so much at our fingertips, it can be easy to feel isolated and disconnected from the world immediately around us. Coming together to make things, to share, to experience other people’s creations can be a beautiful way to reconnect. Through various art focused events and projects, we hope to provide as many opportunities as possible to create and connect with each other.

Crayons
Fundamental to our mission is the art supplies themselves. Keeping as many crayons, colored pencils and other art supplies in hands that wish to use them and out of waste bins and storage closets is at the heart of what we do. Collecting donations of unwanted supplies, hosting art thrift and supply swap events, and providing workshops and demonstrations for potential uses are all ways that we work toward that goal.
